I first want to send out a big apology to everyone and a super big Thank You! I really appreciate all the kind remarks about my various posts. I will try to reply to everyone personally as I get a chance. I have been so busy the past 2 weeks that it has been impossible, to say the least, to keep up. I am going to try to my best this week. Please be patient. Your support means so much to me. As for an update...fundraising is over (yippee), Savannah is off to Catalina Tuesday for her 6Th grade field trip, I purchased a new car, still spring cleaning and winding up the school year with events almost everyday. I am beat. On the brighter side I thought I would post a few pics of my living room/ dining room combo. Several of you have the same scenario with adjoining rooms. In our conversations I have promised to reveal what I have done to try to update this problem. My home is 25yrs old. No fancy 14ft ceiling, no 1000sqft great room just a modest little Spanish style home that wraps her loving walls around me everyday. In my book less is so much more. I hope you enjoy the pics but please remember I am Crazy so you will probably see things changed again. As of May 5Th this is it....lol

I looks so pretty! The room has a wonderful sereneness about about it. I love the architecture of the windows and the color of the walls. I also love how you did the furniture at an angle, it really looks nice.
I enlarged every picture so I could study them! :) I love it!! It is all gorgeous. I have never seen such a HUGE cloche!! Beautiful! More pictures please! :)
Ok where do I start...the cloche since it is my favorite where oh where did you find that size and shape? And what you put under it ...incredible. Ok on to the nest on the wall...genius I would have never thought of that even though it is perfect with the pictures. And finally your use of fabric from the slipcovered chairs to the window treatments...yummy! I enjoyed the tour very much Thank You, Paula
Welcome back! What a beautiful room! I love the soft colors, window treatments, accessoires, well everything really. Our family room and kitchen are connected and I struggle a lot with making the two spaces flow. My kitchen is very dated, so that makes it especially hard. Someday I'll be brave enough to post pictures of my kitchen and then maybe you could give me some pointers.
I'd love to know what the paint color is in your room!
So creative...to use curtains as a room divider. I especially like the
curtains on both sides of the large window - the rooms are beautiful!
You have a lovely home. And me, I tend to move things around on a whim. My housekeeper, who normally, when the house is not in such remodeling/plumbing disaster disarray, comes in twice per month, has to figure out just where things are before she begins to dust them. (I am allergic to dust! Thus the twice per month housekeeper!) For awhile she had a Spanish-speaking helper, who could not understand my penchant for moving things about.
