Hello Chancellor

My daughter has been ill so I have been house bound for a few days. Not all that bad but by this afternoon I was plum bored out of my mind. Holly was feeling better so we went to wash the SUV. Well, Goodwill is in the same parking lot and I convinced her to run in "real quick". My fix was needed. I am so glad we did. I found a few treasures that I thought I would share.

1st I picked up this topiary. Some of the leaves are missing, No biggy. $3.99

Holly needed a small lamp for her room. This is perfect. $5.99

The Nester has inspired me to add a round table with fabric..This tablecloth was the under cloth I was looking for. $4.99

Last but not least. On the "women's cart", that's what I call the cart they wheel out full of junk to put on the shelves, there he lay. A beautiful Chancellor rooster. I am a sucker for them. He quickly went in my cart. $19.99

The best part was the lamp had a shade on it that Holly was not fond of so I donated it and they gave me an additional 20% off. What a steal. You never know. It was a good day.

Wow, great finds! I really like that lamp base. But that rooster is just the best! I just adore roosters! Great deals. Now I've just got to work up the courage to go into the Goodwill store and see what kind of great things I can find!

Hi-While I've never gone shopping at a good will only because I wouldn't think ours, which is in a small town, would have anything nice. Love what you found. I've began going from blog to blog ever since Rue started hers(I don't have one) and I think I remember you from RMS but I don't remember what name you went under. I know you from the picture of your grandmother you have in your kitchen. I'll visit again as I love your site and I don't seem to get on RMS much anymore. Have a happy day. Twin

I think that topiary and rooster had my name on them....you got them first! What great finds. I have a rooster theme in my kitchen but I'm slowly "retiring" some of the birds for a newer look (don't know what that will be yet).
I had no idea you could "donate" back to Goodwill while there and they'd give you % off. I've got to take some stuff there for me and my mom this Friday and I'm gonna see what treasures I can find.
