OH Savannah

Hello, I am back. So much in going on around here....Endless fundraising for the Odyssey World Finals in May, out of town guest and trying to get through my Spring cleaning. In my madness I managed to clean out Savannah's room. If any of you have a tweenie you know what a chore this can be. My daughter is a Pack Rat to put it mildly. I am always amazed at what she keeps as mentos of her life. Needless to say after many tears, Diet Pepsi, and hair pulling I DID IT!!! Yippee!!!!! I am happy with the results and I hope it stays organized for a few days..LOL Let me know what you think.

Please scroll down to Holly's room update. I published it second but it went after Savannah. I know some of you were curious to what I am doing in there.

Oh my world sis...you do good work..what days are you available and do you charge by the hour or by the room?! lol lol I'd even cook you dinner..this room is gorgeous and yes I remember teen years...with all 5 kids!!!!! They were times when I swear they came from another planet and then times when I thought I was gonna need an exorcist! lol There was many a time I grabbed my heart like
Fred Sanford and said "Beam me up Jesus"! lol But somehow you make it thru those years and you stand in amazement at the beautiful young men and women that you proudly tell the world...yep I'm their mom..Great job girl..room it beautiful!

This is a beautiful room. Being a pack rat myself I can understand your daughter. I have over the years learned that keeping the actual item isn't necessary for me and I started a momento scrapbook separate from the kids' scrapbooks( it just holds momentos). Anything that cannot be put in the book easily like a ticket stub or napkin I take a picture of it and do a little journaling to describe the item and where I got it. This made getting rid of the clutter a liitle easier.

Good morning Heather :)

Savannah's room looks fantastic! We just got done cleaning Annie's room and in fact I'm thinking of posting it, but you won't see HER closet on there LOL Oh and I have a packrat too. She keeps the receipts from all her shopping trips. Why? I don't know. She's a mess like her mom LOL

Thank you for what you wrote about the farmhouse. I have to try and clean this house up today so the realtor doesn't scream and run LOL

Love you too,
rue

What a beautiful room. I love the colors. I think cleaning their room is the last thing on their mind at that age. I'm sure she loves it. How long will it stay that way?? I do remember those days. Cherish them!! Hugs, Terrie

Wow, you did an amazing job! Could you come over and decorate my whole house for me please? Really, it's just beautiful!

My oldest is a pack rat too. It drives me crazy that she destroys the look of her cute room with all of her junk and clutter. The last time I did a thorough purging in there it was amazing how much junk I threw away (and how frustrated I got)!

The room is lovely. Looks like a nice hotel room to me, it's so neat and clean and luxurious! Love those polka-dots. I have red polka-dots at the outer borders of my blog. They're so whimsical and fun.

Kleenex great idea. That is one I would forget. I remember the last time we sent him off we both cried an hour down the road and were looking for something. Had to use an old napkin. THANKS

Her room is beautiful! I love how sophisticated it looks and yet cozy/livable for a tween. Definitely a room that will 'grow' with her! And you have amazing talent! Oh, I wish you lived close - I'd be calling on you for help/advice. You can put a room together!
